Last Meeting for 2010

Sorry for not keeping the web site up, my bad....well anyway we closed out another GREAT year this past Tuesday with our first end of the year holiday party, thanks to all that brought food to our party. It was wonderful to see everyone and to have a few of our reps there to celebrate with us. We voted on the new name for our group, we will now called the Live Wires, thanks all that voted. Lou from Medtronic thank you so much for the basket of goodies we were able to raffle off lucky number 22 won. We want to wish Rich good luck and we hope that he will be feeling better soon. Last we want to wish everyone a Happy and Safe holiday season and we look forward to spending the second Tuesday of the month with you in the coming new year~Bill, Mary Grace, and Sue

Sorry...

about the lack of activity on the site...we are no longer able to access these types of sites at work and by time I get home from work I have just enough time to say hi to the family and then it is time for bed...I will try harder to keep it up dated....we hope to see everyone at the next meeting St Jude will be here I think Kevin is going to talk about the CRT therapy or the third lead and heart failure...we all know how wonderful Tommy looked and felt at the last meeting...we also have the list of dates for 2011 that we will have for you..

Don't Forget June 8th Dr Sears

I hope everyone will be at the June 8th meeting it will be at the Sycamore Grill in Delaware Water Gap at 6:00pm...special guest speaker will be Dr Sears if you were not at last years meeting with Dr Sears you are in for a great group meeting...if you were lucky enough to be here last year I am sure Dr Sears has more wisdom to share with us..We are looking forward to seeing everyone Tuesday June 8th at 6:00 pm Sycamore!!Mary Grace, Bill, and Sue

May 11th Meeting

Sorry for not posting right away after our meeting...once again we had an awesome turn out our little group is growing with each meeting...like Mark Dillman said 'you guys should be proud of your selves for being brave and having your devices put in for your and also your loved ones well being" how about Mark for filling in for Chad he did an awesome job. Big thank yous go out to Pat, Wilma and Joe for supplying us with a great spread of snacks we will need some volunteers for July's meeting...Next meeting June 8th is with Dr Sears at the Sycamore Grill in Delaware Water Gap we hope to have a GREAT turn out we hope to have some Shock Plan papers for you all to fill out...we are working on them hope to have them done...we want to wish Bill a Happy Birthday for receiving an appropriate shock he was also our first recipient of our Pin for a Shock Program (I think that is what Billy called it) and of course our Wilma who so bravely comes to every meeting in support of her son who has an ICD...Thank you all for coming and we are looking forward to our next meeting June 8th!!!Mary grace, Bill, and Sue

April 15th Meeting

Wow we had so many people at this meeting we almost didn't fit in the two conference rooms...thank you everyone for coming we hope you found Rebecca Fallons from Medtronic a wounderful and helpful speaker. It was great to see Rich there it has been awhile since you have been able to come...we were missing a few of our regulars...Mike and Isreal...they are ok just unable to make the meeting. I am excited to announce a "program" (for lack of better term) that Lou from Medtronic gave us the idea that when one of our members has an appropriate shock we will give them a pin that we had made for you that says My ICD Saved My Life...not that we want any one to receive a shock but if you do at least you will be alive to tell us about it at our next meeting...Don't forget if you need us to give us a call we hope to see at our next meeting..May 11th...Mary Grace, Bill, and Sue

Our Biggest Turn Out....

We had our biggest turn out yet this past meeting. Lou from Medtronic was here to take us through the history of ICD's it is pretty amazing how the technology has improved. To start the first ICD's were sewn like a patch onto the heart...YIKES!!! Lou had many samples there for us to touch and weigh...we welcomed a few new members also we hope our group will contiue to grow...see you April 13 th same time... same place...St Jude will be here and Dr P is scheduled to join us

Our Next Meeting....

Our next meeting is this coming Tuesday March 9th at 6:00 this is one that we are on our own Dr P won't be there so its up to us to keep the meeting going I hope that Rick Uter will be here with us...
